Mission Shaped Intro
Three Anglican, two Methodists, an Elim Pentecostal, and Roman Catholic church all joined to share a five-week Lent mission shaped intro course. This was a unique opportunity in Parsons Cross, Sheffield.
We moved around, a different church each week, and consistently had 45-50 people attending.
The spirit of the gathering was positive and participation was high as people explored possibilities for the future.
The Anglican diocesan Bishop attended the whole of the fourth session and the Catholic Bishop and Methodist Superintendent were present throughout the final session, joining in the commissioning with anointing with oil. The whole thing represented a fantastic expession of unity around mission.
The Leadership are now thinking through what can be done together in their community. Some are hoping to start a Fresh Expression in the next 18 months.
