Egyptian authorities arrested more than 150 people for eating during Ramadan, according to the report issued by International Christian Concern (see Links page).
The arrests were made in the southern area of Aswan, in addition to many more in the Red Sea resort town of Hurghada. According to Al-Arabia, the authorities are cracking down on anyone, including foreigners and Non-Muslims, who are found eating, drinking or smoking, during the Ramadan fasting hours.
