About Girded with Truth

Stand, therefore, for Bible truth, with sincerity; the girdle.

My name is Karen, former Roman Catholic [from the cradle] who questioned Roman Catholicism and the Catholic dogma of the Church, and searched for the truth. All the while, being drawn to the well of true salvation in Christ alone (Ephesians 2:8-9) according to the Bible.

Today, I stand steadfast, sincerely defending and earnestly contending for the truth (Jude 1:3-4) according to the pure Word of God (Proverbs 30:4-6) with witness and testimony of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Having “come out from amongst them” in light of and in obedience to scripture, I embarked upon further research; Charismatic Chaos and Word of Faith movement and the seducing spirit of deception thereof.

My husband and I enrolled at Bible College in order to learn the truth of the Word of God, thereby, studying to understand Bible scripture; the whole counsel of God.

Mindful of the biblical truth of church leadership, headship and authority.

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness. And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus; (2 Timothy 2:15-17).

The Lord Jesus Christ said, “For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.” (Matthew 6:14-15)

No-one can come to the one and only God the Father in heaven except through His Son Jesus Christ; who alone is the one true mediator. Not the Papacy.

Jesus Is The Way Truth Life John 14:6

Jesus answered and said unto him, “Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” (John 3:3)

Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. (John 3:4-8)

The Lord Jesus Christ said, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.” (John 14:6)

The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? (Psalm 27:1).

God’s time to help those that trust in him, is, when all other helpers fail. He is a surer and better Friend than earthly parents are, or can be. (Matthew Henry commentary on Psalm 27:10).

Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths. Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day. (Psalm 25:4-5).

Stand therefore, having your loins girded about with truth. (Ephesians 6:14)

The penultimate book of the Bible is Jude, wherein the author identifies himself as Jude, the “brother of James” (Jude 1:1). Jude had intended to write a treatise on salvation, whereupon he was led to write the New Testament’s strongest condemnation of false teachers.

Thereby, Jude beseeches “to those who are called, beloved in God the Father, and kept for Jesus Christ,” entreating them to “contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all handed down to the saints.” (Jude 1:3) Furthermore, he warned believers that “certain persons have crept in unnoticed.” (Jude 1:4)

Today, we find these certain persons to be among us everywhere. Indeed, false teachers’ books are prominently featured in Christian book stores – as proclaimed in their ministry church base and on the web. False teachers travel the world to attend numerous like-minded conferences and events. Last, but not least, proliferating false teachers and false prophets make use of Christian TV channels and digital media.

The Lord Jesus Christ warned; “beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits.” (Matthew 7:15-16).

Therefore, as true believers and followers of the Lord Jesus Christ, it is imperative that we check the fruits of all who proclaim to be teaching and preaching the message of truth according to the word of God, the Bible.

We ought to be Bereans – the apostle Paul escapes from the unbelieving Jews in Thessalonica, and is taken by night into Berea. Afterwards, he enters a synagogue of the Jews in Berea. “These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.” (Acts 17:11)

Therefore, to be a Berean is to search the scriptures to verify whether that which is being taught is the sound doctrine of Biblical truth. In view of Acts 17:11; is a believer and follower of Christ alone, who allows the scriptures, rightly divided, to be the final authority.

The belt truth is the first piece of the “full armor of God” listed in Ephesians 6:10–17 which equips us to stand firm in the truth of scripture rightly divided; and tell others with regard to “unfruitful deeds of darkness” (Ephesians 5:11) while shining a light on the truth of the pure word of God.

“Beloved, believe not every spirit, but test the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.” (1 John 4:1)
