True Humility believes that one is seen as righteous
before God based on Christ’s work alone
2 Samuel 22:1-4
The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer;
The God of my strength, in whom I will trust;
My shield and the horn of my salvation,
My stronghold and my refuge;
My Savior, You save me from violence.
I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised;
So shall I be saved from my enemies.”
2 Samuel 22:50
“Therefore I will give thanks to You, O LORD, among the Nations,
And sing praises to Your name”
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart; and lean not to your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6
A teachable heart is a heart that has surrendered to God, a soft tender heart, yielded to receive, in humility, the truth of His word. A person who is humble in heart is someone who is always seeking the wisdom of God and is dependent on the Holy Spirit. Trusting in God, through the Holy Spirit, who will lead and guide us in all His truth.
“However, when He, the Spirit of Truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth. For He shall not speak of Himself, but whatever He hears, He shall speak. And He will announce to you things to come.” John 16:13
A tender heart, yielded to, and trusting in, almighty God, through Jesus Christ His Son, with the help of the Holy Spirit.
